The CLUBThe Hook N’ Bullet Club originated in the year 1990 on a journey home from a hunting trip in the wilds of Wawarsing upstate New York. The small crew of young hunters, frustrated by their lack of success in the woods and yearning to share their woes with fellow outdoorsmen ,decided - “Hey, we need a Club!”. First issue at hand was the name. There were many ideas - Antlers & Slugs, Laukiniu Klubas, Fish n’ Hunt, and so on……. until one prevailed and presto -- The Hook N’ Bullet Club was born. The years’ that followed saw our aspiring outdoorsmen organize many successful hunting trips, fishing excursions, and wilderness expeditions. Then, in 1997 the 1st Annual HnB Club Wild Game Feast was established. This yearly Feast, with wild game and fish harvested by fellow outdoor enthusiasts and then delicately prepared in gourmet fashion by HnB specialty chefs, would prove to be the cornerstone for the growth and success of the club. Now, over 15 years since that initial weekend trip, our Hook n’ Bullet Club members continue the time honored traditions passed on by our grandfathers and fathers. These traditions?…….. Hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors! The LOGO. Every club needs a super logo, right? Well, the Hook ‘n’ Bullet one is just that – super! All honors for both thought and design of our logo are extended to club member Rich N., who envisioned a perfectly symetrical “dream” buck with matching drop tines, incorporated with the club letters! Whether a white-tailed buck, a striped-bass, a rare wood-duck, or, a native brook trout - it represents the trophy we didn’t get back in 1990, and, the trophy we are still hunting for today!
Our current logo is actually Rich’s second design. The 1st. ,as noted above, was designed and utilized before the luxury of scanners and computers. Enlarged photo copies of the original were used to promote club events. The 2nd logo came along a few years later and continues to serve as our proud insignia today! Will there be a 3rd version in the future? Well………. we love the current version, but if there ever is a new logo – it would have to be Rich’s design! Maybe something with Hooks ‘n’ Bullets and more. Hmmmmm. The FLAGS. The H’n’B Club sports TWO flags on our website, both American and Lithuanian. While our membership consists of Americans and others of ALL nationalities, the founding fathers of the club, and, a good percentage of the club today - are of Lithuanian-American heritage! We honor this heritage, as well as all others in this great nation we live in – the U.S.A. !
